This degree is designed to equip you with a unique set of accounting and managerial skills to analyse and evaluate the company and industry trends. You’ll learn how to receive, interpret and communicate financial and other information in a globalised profession. Gaining a deeper understanding of how finances affect company performance, you’ll be better placed to help firms make effective business decisions. Upon completion of the degree, students will be eligible to apply for eight CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) exemptions and up to six ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). In this fast-changing business world, there is a shortage of graduate talent with both accounting and business management education and skills. Our course covers management accounting, business and management education, and financial strategy. Generating value for the organisations you work in, you’ll look to the future, analyse the performance of the business, advise or create strategies to solve problems, and adapt to changing circumstances and market conditions. Taught by academics with professional experience as accountants and managers, there is an emphasis on learning through practice, so you graduate with the breadth of knowledge and capabilities to respond proactively and creatively to contemporary business issues and challenges. Throughout the course, you’ll also develop a range of transferrable skills highly prized by employers, such as critical evaluation, self-direction and problem-solving, as well as a sound grasp of analysis, presentations and negotiation techniques.

We place particular emphasis on employability and the contemporary cultural context and offer high-quality teaching in all language skills. Our course offers you an opportunity to study Arabic and English languages and cultures in an integrated interdisciplinary way, exploring the connections between them and the broader historical and cross-cultural contexts in which they are produced. This course will enable you to achieve a good or high level of linguistic competence in Arabic in all four skill areas (reading, writing, listening and speaking), it will enhance your skills in using English, and develop your linguistic and cultural knowledge understanding. You'll be able to work in different cultural situations and you'll gain the transferable and cognitive skills necessary for lifelong personal and professional development. Our Arabic courses are only available to beginner or 'false beginner' entrants – false beginners are students who may be able to read the Arabic script, and/or have completed the equivalent of one or two years of part-time study. You’ll also have the opportunity to consider the theoretical tools of both literary analysis and language research in detail. You may have the option to spend a full academic year abroad at a partner institution and/or an approved form of employment in a country where Arabic is the official language. You can also study an optional module from a range of topics across the University each year.

The multifaceted nature of architectural creativity, covering everything from urban planning through the design of buildings, interiors, exhibitions and trade fairs, as well as design of furniture and social space, represents the very essence of architecture, that is the organization and development of socially useful space. Its structural coherent whole, that includes both the interior and external form – much like negative and positive - defines its value as a complex work, that is inextricably linked to the development of civilizations and cultures.
